Firstly can I apologise for the abuse survivor site being down for a couple of months, but sometimes a spring clean is in order.
I have rewritten most of the site to bring it up to date, and provide you with a much needed refurbishment and refresh.
I hesitated when to choose as my relaunch date. I decided that, although the beginning of the month would be a good idea, firstly 1st April is April Fool’s Day, and secondly it falls on a Saturday this year, when most people are relaxing for the weekend rather than studying relaunched websites.
Any comments you would like to make are welcome whether good or constructive. I think that I have covered most subjects which may be of interest to those who are thinking of approaching a solicitor for advice, or indeed just want to read, for example, about the typical effects of child abuse upon a victim on their journey to becoming a survivor.
There is also a new page on triggers ie what sort of things remind the survivor of their abuse. Awareness, and thus avoidance, may be prudent.
Please contact me if you have anything to ask, or comments you want to make. I welcome any sort of communication, particularly if it helps in the healing process.
